Welcome to Reception!
In Reception, we base our learning on the children’s interests and ideas. The children are encouraged to become independent learners and problem solvers through stimulating play, learning and a caring environment.
Reception offers a play-based curriculum with exciting learning opportunities in the six areas of learning. The three prime areas are; personal, social and emotional development, communication and language and physical development. The four specific areas are; literacy, mathematics, understanding of the world and expressive arts and design.
In Reception, we strive to work in partnership with parents to promote the learning and development of all children. Parents are a child’s most important educators, therefore we endeavour to involve and support parents in as many opportunities as we can.
