Curriculum

At St Michael's CE Primary School we provide a curriculum that is broad, balanced, relevant, motivating and differentiated to provide for the varied abilities of our pupils, with our strong Christian Ethos embedded throughout. We aim to give our pupils a challenging and creative experience, through an enquiry based cross-curricular themed approach, which fosters in them a love of learning and independence. With a strong focus on basic skills with Mathematics, English, Science, Computing and RE taught discretely and opportunities used to embed these skills within the other subjects of the curriculum; we aim to develop the spirituality of our pupils, their knowledge and understanding of the world. Whilst raising their aspirations and life skills to prepare them well for the future and the modern world we live in.

From september 2014 we will be teaching the statutory requirements of the New National Curriculum for England. Please click on the link belowto see a full copy of this document.
